Weekly Webcomic Update
Sluggy Freelance — Boy, did Pete jerk us around this week. What is Oasis? A ghost who takes over people so thoroughly she physically turns them into her? (That's the theory she's floating.) A regenerating zombie? Was her body in the car, or was it not. That question, at least, is answered. Her previous body was indeed in the car, and Multiple Oasis Theory reigns supreme. In other news, it looks like Nash survived.

Day by Day — Sam takes Jan shooting. Jan's not much of one for guns, really, but she's going anyway, which makes Damon happy.

Scary Go Round — Rachel helps a green owl get elected, only after which does she realize that she's done the will of Satan. He has new and better plans for her, apocalyptic plans. Now I'm guessing that this episode is a flashback... hmm, that should have been clearer.

Dominic Deegan — Stunt helps Urban Eddie attack Luna and Bumper, then suddenly turns on him. Unfortunately, Bumper's plan to help Luna and let her magic him is complicated by the fact that Eddie nearly choked her and she can't speak. Stunt's in trouble now, as Urban Eddie stabs him.

Schlock Mercenary — Kevyn runs from the fire he created, leaping over a cliff to escape and causing a lot of damage to himself. Fortunately the nannies are at work fixing him. The other members of his team spot the fire, but they still think Kevyn's dead, so they won't be coming to help him anytime soon. And Tagon's far away and has no clue what's going on. But he is looking for his crew.

Weekly Webcomic Update
Sluggy Freelance — Nash manages to elude Oasis and kill Tod, and just as he's taking Katie hostage in order to make his getaway, Oasis pounces. It looks like he's dead now, which is too bad. I liked Nash, as he was a rare competent opponent.

Day by Day — Retreat looks to be on the Democratic mind, causing them to bring in folks like McGovern to consult. You can tell Chris isn't happy with the Democrats' view on Iraq, and I can't say I blame him. It's almost like they want to lose.

Scary Go Round — Realizing her plans are going awry, or maybe just hoping to make a break for it, Rachel finally takes Tessa's advice and tries to escape. The devil, however, has other plans, and after a train wreck, and a lot of dead bodies, some of them decoys, Rachel's less than in the clear, and William (whom I don't really recall) is looking pretty dead.

Dominic Deegan — Bumper's out of prison, but he's not out of trouble, as Urban Eddie's sprung Stunt, and now everyone's suspecting Bumper again. After some questioning from Quilt, Bumper's ready to confess just to make him stop with the illogic. Well, at least I am. Fortunately, they don't have any evidence to hold Bumper, and Luna still trusts him to help guard the prison. Meanwhile, Quilt and the sheriff are off to arrest Urban Eddie, but he's figured them out and gained the edge.

Schlock Mercenary — After careful application of engineering principles, Kevyn starts a fire. Or more accurately, a forest fire. The rest of the stranded crew is busy hunting, and Schlock's becoming rather tired of holding everything in his mouth.

Weekly Webcomic Update
Sluggy Freelance — So that has got to be the quickest Oasis returning from the dead ever. And, bit by bit, we're finding out more about how she works. This is helped along significantely by Nash, and the fact that he's good enough to play headgames with Oasis while fighting. Of course, he's not good enough to win straight off, which is why he's playing headgames, but Tod unintentionally helps him make a break for it. The real news is that Oasis witnessed what happened while she was dead. That's got to be the most freaky thing ever.

Day by Day — And the Dems win. Damon has to buy Jan dinner as a result. Fortunately for all involved, the Democrats are even more amusing in power than out of it.

Scary Go Round — Shelley and Amy find Ryan and his friends. Ryan and friends are fearful at first, what with Ryan not remembering the girls and all, but they're kind and not hard on the eyes, so it's an easy sell.

Dominic Deegan — Stunt's blaming Bumper for messing things up, but Bumper's not too happy with Stunt for getting them in this mess in the first place. Bumper, meanwhile, decides to fully turn over a new leaf, and firmly join the side of good, leaving Stunt all by himself. Meanwhile, the sheriff has a lead on where Urban Eddie is hiding.

Schlock Mercenary — While Kevyn's recovering from being mostly dead and contemplating making a fire, the rest of the marooned company is eyeing the contrail and following it to its origin. Maybe they'll find a way out soon.

Weekly Webcomic Update
Sluggy Freelance — Looks like we don't get that answer to SOT or MOT after all. Nash stops by the police to deliver some explosive revenge against the sheriff, but he's paranoid and well armed. In the midst of the fireworks Oasis shows up, but the car goes boom before we can see whether Oasis's old body is gone or not. I guess it's not surprising that Pete was sneaky.

Day by Day — The election's coming up, but Halloween's more fun to write about. Damon's playing Satan to Jan's Southern belle, while Zed's Greek warrior is with Sam's French maid. As much fun as that is, there's still time to mock Kerry's troop derision.

Scary Go Round — Well, what do you know? It looks like Rachel and Tess are behind this evil nun thing, and we see a little bit about the prophecy they're following. Fortunately the prophecy allows for some foiling by our heroines, even if Fallon isn't convinced that Amy really did spot Ryan.

College Roomies from Hell!!! — Well, ain't everyone dressed nice? Too bad they can't act nice. Dave and Mike aren't any worse than usual--despite appearance, I'd expect they'd still risk life and limb for each other. I wouldn't be surprised if Blue and Margaret drew blood before the night was over.

Dominic Deegan — Bumper's good deeds are swept under the carpet as he makes no defense when the goons reveal that he's been helping them. He's not being stupid however. He figures prison's the safest place for him while Urban Eddie's remaining gang might be after him. Luna, meanwhile, decides to call in Dominic for help.

Schlock Mercenary — Kevyn finally wakes up and digs his way out of his shallow grave. He's alive! That's kind of to be expected. Unfortunately, his memories a blank since his date with Elf, so he has no more idea how he ended up stranded on that planet in a loincloth than we do. What's worse, his body's still mostly dead, and he's in a lot of pain and in need of medical attention right now. Elf and Schlock and the rest of them are an hour out from where they buried him by now, so they're not a lot of help.
