Weekly Webcomic Update
Sluggy Freelance — It turns out that Maks expressly left Teknokon One as a way for Kada to return home. Wow, it's kind of touching, considering that Maks betrayed her. But before she and the others can escape, along comes Lady Naga to steal Teknokon One. Calix drives her off with some fancy axe work (why he didn't just kill her is beyond me), buy she escapes with Teknokon One and Stu is killed in the process.

Day by Day — Damon and Jan are at the beach, discussing politics, air guitar, and tans. I don't know where they are that they can go to the beach at this time of year. It's unbelievably cold where I am! Then later in the week it's a long series on the ports whose management is being bought by an UAE company, an issue I still don't really understand.

Scary Go Round — Shelley develops a fast friendship with a mouse, who turns out to be an earwig who wants to take her over. It just goes to show you that you can't trust mice.

College Roomies from Hell!!! — The plane makes it to the ground, and a bunch of half-naked Roomies have to get off the plane without being arrested. Mike tricks Dave into a compromising argument, for the benefit of convincing his father that Dave is his boyfriend.

General Protection Fault — Trudy tries to apologize to Ki before their trip to another world, but her apology falls on deaf ears. It'll be hard to make amends. Meanwhile, alt-Trudy is making arrangements for them to travel to the alternate world, but I'm starting to get suspicious of her. Is she really sending them to the right place?

Schlock Mercenary — Elf goes wild on the Fashion Assault guys, which earns the company some attention from a feminist group which wants the program off the air. How can you do that short of destroying the whole network, though? Of course, Tagon's Toughs rarely stop short of anything.

Weekly Webcomic Update
This should have gone up earlier, but I had it scheduled wrong. My apologies, but for once I won't apologize for it being late, since it's just mischeduled.

Sluggy Freelance — And Sluggy's back, as Kada, Calix, BA, and Stu find Teknokon One. Unfortunately, it's tightly locked up with a password, and the only thing open to Kada's computer is a video game. Fortunately, she discovers that the high-scorer in the videogame is Maks, from way back at the beginning of this storyline, and uses his password to get in, to discover a message waiting for her. What is Maks's connection to Teknokon One? I'm sure we're about to find out.

Day by Day — Some Valentine's Day themed comics this week, including the Kofi's crush and Engineer Valentine cards. The Cartoon Wars also get a mention. It looks like Chris is trying to get himself a Fatwa.

Scary Go Round — A winner is chosen... but as it's by Shelley, it doesn't make much sense. Roxy's performance gets the attention of Hugo, who offers to be her agent.

College Roomies from Hell!!! — With the mice loose, all chaos follows, with lots of nudity, destroyed clothes, and mutations. I just hope the plane will arrive on the ground safely.

General Protection Fault — Having heard alt-Trudy's story about how alt-Nick took over the world, the GPF gang now has to travel to the alternate world to rescue their Nick. How come Nick is always in need of rescuing, anyway? Why can't he take care of himself?

Schlock Mercenary — Now that the officers and senior staff have accepted a missing paycheck, will someone inform Elf and the Doctor before they go on a spending spree? No? Then someone ought to stop the Fashion Assault folks before Elf hurts them. No? Well, okay, that's going to hurt.

Weekly Webcomic Update
Sluggy Freelance — Pete took a week off for his vacation, and Thyla provides tip and advice for World of Warcraft. It seems silly, but the last one is really funny.

Day by Day — The overly political Oscars, the way bloggers are filling in the slack left by the MSM, and the Democrats' manipulation of race are the main topics this week. Race, especially, gets a lot of discussion going between Jan and Damon in light of the funeral of Coretta King. And I must say that I like the larger Sunday comics, but the extra material seems to show up on the page even when you're looking at older comics in the archives. I'm not sure why that is.

Scary Go Round — It's probably a mistake to recruit Shelley to judge the Battle of the Bands, whose performances we see this week. Milford and The Boy do surprisingly well, but it's hypnotized Roxy who's getting all the attention.

College Roomies from Hell!!! — It looks like someone accidentally packed Chester, and he's now loose in the luggage compartment snacking on lab mice, the excess of which have gotten loose and are now interfering with the Roomies' abilities to communicate such important ideas as why it is that April's paying for sex.

General Protection Fault — We finally get a look at the flip side, where evil Nick and crew take advantage of poor, innocent Trudy. Nick, Fooker, Dwayne, and Ki have taken over the world. I'm not sure where this leaves alt-Trudy, but I'm sure we'll find out.

Schlock Mercenary — Elf finally gets a new body, but Kevyn isn't allowed to see until she gets properly dressed. Dr. Bunningus is stubborn that way. And Ennesby inserts a little honesty in the moral debate of how Tagon's Toughs should deal with their inability to sell the squid (the usual method of dumping it on the unwilling purchasers and taking the money at gunpoint has provoked an unusual attack of conscience).

Weekly Webcomic Update
Sluggy Freelance — The big revelation this week is that Blacksoul is really... Bun-bun from the future. Only that Bun-bun is not really from the future, but the Bun-bun we've been following all along is Bun-bun from the past, before he joined the Sluggy cast. Uncle Time sends both Bun-buns home, past Bun-bun to be bought by Torg, future (current) Bun-bun to Gwynn's cereal bowl. It's a bit deus ex machina--okay, it's a lot deus ex machina--but I'm gettting tired of this storyline anyway. Of course, it's not really over--we have to find out what happens to Kada and Calix--but hopefully that won't take too much longer.

Day by Day — Chris has a lot to say about the Muslim outrage over the Danish cartoons, beginning with "Buy Danish." There's also Cindy Sheehan, Howard Dean, and the Democratic response to the State of the Union, and a bit on Michael Yon's trouble with the army.

Scary Go Round — There's some skullduggery going on among the school's administration, as the guy in charge is clearly evil. With the Battle of the Bands about to begin, Shelley is covering it for the newspaper.

College Roomies from Hell!!! — The plane takes off, and Dave's panicking. You'd think that he'd never been on a plane before, which he hasn't, except for the one time he was out-of-his-mind drunk and helped hijack one. In another row of seats, Dianna has just spilled the secret of April's frequent flyer program with Paul to Marsha and Margaret.

General Protection Fault — So Nick's brighter than people have given him credit, and he knows that the Ki he's dealing with isn't the real Ki. now we just have to wait for alt-Trudy to explain what's really going on.

Schlock Mercenary — Elf's not happy about her forced medical leave. She'd much rather be blowing stuff up, or barring that, getting some new legs grown. Kevyn's attempt to offer his advice isn't very well considered. Meanwhile, Tagon's run into a snag in his attempts to be paid twice for a giant squid, as it turns out that the creature he has doesn't quite fit in the giant squid family.
