Look at the number of L'Amour novels that have sold in the last 20 years even though there are no new ones.
Don't look at "Cowboys & Aliens" or "Unforgiven" for the possible income from a western. They are NOT westerns.
Find a good story that has main characters with integrity, partners, helpfull neighbours, and other well known western values. Spend a few million making a movie and be sure to spend no more than 20% of what you have been spending. Expect to triple your money.
Entertaining movies do not have to cost 100 million dollars. Income from the movie doesn't have to be 200 million.
Keep It Simple Stupid.
Dave
www.dmmcgowan.blogspot.comD.M.
